Usually by word of mouth. We went to a photo/video place that we really love but haven't heard alot about them. Some of what we did hear were mixed reviews. I say, go see a few places and compare them like we did. My Fh says nobody compares to this place so we are going to book them. Good Luck!!

We saw 3 photographers. 2 a lot of brides are using on here. (We booked the 3rd photographer we saw - Patken)

The first one we saw the albums were just that, albums. The guy was nice, but anything we wanted would be a lot of money extra. We didn't feel we were getting a lot for the price he wanted.

photographer number 2 came highly recommended from girls on here. The woman we met with was very nice and the albums were pretty. Their were the basic shots (bride and groom at the alter, in the park, the entire bridal party) and the package was great, the price was great, but their were certain things that bothered me. FI liked them, but their was just a few small things I wasnt comfortable with.

The third photographer was so nice, very accomadating, met all of our needs, threw in a extra for us, and his personality really clicked with our personality. Their were shots that were basic and their shots that were fun and everyone looked it in the photo's. No one looked stiff, and the photographer looked like he had a good time taking those pictures (it was like that in all the albums)

We also did a lot of research on the photographer. I asked the girls on here, asked them to post pics, and checked out the better business bureau.

For Video, we only looked at one company and they blew us both away. They too are a vendor on here and come highly recommended from girls on the boards.
