I tried doing that with ALL my vendors.. lol Hey, you never know.. My hall declined b/c they are a historical landmark, I had to pay the photographer tax, and hmm. what else. I think that's it.. oh yeah, the dress..

from my experiences, quite a few of my vendors 'prefer cash'

Depends on the vendor. Sometimes they wait for you to ask them because they don't want to get in trouble...so don't be shy...ask.

Yes we did. The taxes and gratuity on our vendors were financially draining us. There were a few vendors who only accepted cash thus no taxes there and no contract there.
