I've realized lately that some FMILs are wonderful through this process, and some are paddling up the river of De Nile.

The quicker you decide to remove your emotions from her reactions, the better you'll feel. Trust me on this...I've been there.

then i personally wouldn't push the relationship any further

I have this same issue with FSIL and I have unfortunately come to the point where i realize i can't force it on her and I have stopped trying and caring.

I def. feel your pain

FM anytime if you need to vent

It is time to be done and just enjoy every minute of planning and then the big day. You need to be happy and you should be happy. She is choosing not to participate... her choice and her lose!

I'm sorry that really stinks! I have the same situation with my mother in law and I have known her for 9 yrs. I had to finally bring up my engagement to her after 5 months and all she has done is complain about the venue etc..

Just ignore her, you never know maybe shes jealous that her son is going to treat you amazing and she doesn't have that! It's your day , don't let anyone ruin in!!!
