Re: response cards?

People never send back the RSVPs on time. You usually need to give the RH a final # 2 weeks before. My suggestion is to put a date 5 to 6 weeks before your wedding to give yourself time to track down the slackers.

Our wedding was 7/18 and we put 6/5 as our RSVP date. For the B-list invites, I actually just snuck a 1 in before the 5 and asked for the RSVPs by 6/15. I was missing 35 response cards when our RSVP date came around.

I'm working on my invitations and I'm doing the response card. I am not sure what date to put on it, our wedding is 3/25 would 2/25 be good? How much time are you having between the RSVP deadline and your wedding date?

Nessa- let me know how the BRIDES invite come out so maybe I can do them tooo

I'm going to be putting either March 26 (6 weeks) or March 19 (7 weeks) for my May 7th wedding.

You need to allow enough time for people to send back the RSVPs and if you get No's and you have B-Listers than you want to allow for enough time for you send out those invites after.

7 weeks is a really long time... when are you planning to send out invites? If you send them out 12 weeks before (which is SUPER early -- most places say 8 but I did 10) that only gives people a few weeks to figure out their plans and RSVP.

You can definitely put a mid-week date. I just wouldn't put a Sunday.

one month before is perfect. I know the invite lady put 2/26 on my response cards

I'm getting married August 13 and I will probably put 6 weeks before.

Re: response cards?

i am getting married on June 12 and i am requesting that everyone send back their rsvp's by April 12. no one ever send them back when they are supposed to and then youhave to track them down. its a pain and then the RH wants final numbers 2 weeks prior to wedding.
give yourself the extra time, its worth it and you don't need to stress out finding who is or isn't coming days before your wedding!
