I've used the Glue Dot brand dots for invitations. Just test whatever you get - the first time I used them, it was for something that was intended to be pulled off, and it did so fine without tearing the page or leaving behind glue. But the second project I used them for, it tore the paper big time.

If you don't need them to be removable, they'll be your favorite things in the world!!! If you do need them to come off, just test first and be careful. :)
