Re: Ughhhhhhhhhhh! (please don't quote)
When I left my last job my director said she was 'dissapointed in my decision, and I was leaving them in a bad position' -I gave 4 WEEKS notice!!! Then noone even looked at me for 4 weeks. I went to HR and put in a formal complaint. I know exactly how you feel!!! Don't worry-it should just solidify your decision to leave.
Congrats and Good luck!!

That's pretty crappy, although I know in my company that when someone is planning on leaving it is not officially announced until the day before their last day (don't ask me why, that's just the way it's done). In my position I know about all this stuff before everyone else and I have to keep it hush hush until it's officially announced.
Maybe your company has the same policy?

Yea- I've been there, and hate that adults behave this way. Its childish and annoying.

booo to them. That is majorly sucky but at least you can be sure that you made the right choice by leaving.
Just grin and bear it, you never have to look back!

that's not fair. you put in your time, and i'm sure you were a good employee- your colleagues should acknowledge that and wish you luck. there's no reason for hard feelings when someone is moving on to a new chapter in their life.

Re: Ughhhhhhhhhhh! (please don't quote)
sorry to hear that but that happened to me about 4 years ago when i left my other job. I was there for 3 years and one of the owners that I was working for directly didn't acknowledge it. They're probably upset that you chose another company to work for. I know it ***** now, but you're probably leaving for something better - and who knows, maybe they'll acknowlege it later on when you're closer to leaving.

Thank you girls! I feel somewhat better about it. I'm not going to let it get to me anymore.
