Re: Calculating RH cost?
I was advised by a 2010er to budget going over the minimum by 10. Kind of like setting your clock 5 minutes fast. As you get closer to the day, you have to kind of expect the unexpected. FH may want to add three people or FMIL forgot a couple of people.

Re: Calculating RH cost?
Say the pp$ is $100 and you have 100 people ceremony fee $1000 gratuity 20% TAX 8.625%
Tips will all vary based on who you have and how good of a service they provide to you.
If you do a search on here you will find a ton of threads with girls listing their tips.
HTH!!!

I think my price was $79 pp. Ceremony was $700 but got it lowered to $400 I think, but at the end we ended up booking our ceremony in a church. Gratuity is included in the final total price and that depend on the amount of guests.

Re: Calculating RH cost?
tips are the only thing that isn't taxed from what I've heard, so you will have to pay tax on the pp price, ceremony and gratuity.
For us it was 98pp which after tax and grat comes to about $125 a head (I know you were looking at the same place we are booked, so this might be an actual estimate for you!).

Thanks everyone. But why is the gratuity taxed?! You don't pay tax on the automatic gratuity for a large group at a restaurant.
I'ts not a gratuity that's taxable, gratuities are spicfically NOT taxable, which is why most halls call their mandatory 20%'gratuity' a 'Service charge' or 'Service fee' which makes it taxable for some reason.
IMO it's a load of BS is what it is, I need to start some kind of wedding related business and get in on this racket.
