Did you ever eat at Don Ricardos? They have great food and the best sangria in the world. They have a room upstairs that could work. I have no idea if they do packages. Good luck!

We had our RD at the Bulldog Grille in Amityville because I had the same issue with the ILs not telling me what the budget was.
For Italian - try Gino's in Islip (they have a private room and the food is really good).

I've been there... got really sick (I have stomach issues) spanish food is a no-go, but thanks for the suggestion.

bulldog might be too much... but i'm going to look into gino's. we passed them yesterday on our search.
