...........!

My work is slipping. My mind is in FULL wedding mode, and I hate it. I usually have a very good balance with leaving personal stuff at home and putting on a face when I come here, but the last 3 weeks I haven't been able to do so, and I am making stupid obviously noticeable mistakes, one right after the other. I pissed off a client hardcore just now, (to me it wouldn't be a big deal, but to her, it is). It could be solved with another solution, but still insists on screaming at me. On top of my boss now knowing because she complained to him too, he gave me a slightly-less of a screaming lecture.

Yesterday was when I had really thought I had had it. We had a meeting with our health insurance broker. Didn't really understand why I had to be there, considering I will be off the office plan and going under FH's since it's better. Remarks were made and a political debate broke out during this meeting. The broker made a comment about how he'll be out of the job if we don't get a new president. I thought immediately to myself; OH NO, here it comes. My one boss whose older and the broker go at it, and mind you, that one boss is the only one in the room that likes Obama, so I'm thinking, SHHH you're making it worse. (when you know you're out numbered in views, I find its always best to smile and nod and pretend you agree). My other boss, the younger one, made a remark that was beyond unnecessary, under his breathe of course, but within my ear shot (and I cannot repeat it here). My eyes widened and I let out a tiny laugh, a laugh that was really because I couldn't believe the word left his mouth - not because I thought it was funny, don't know what was wrong with me and why I chose that as my reaction when I should have ignored it. It was the kind of laugh that sounded like you nose was clogged, I had no smile.

After the meeting, the older boss pulls me into a room with the other guy who made the remark and insisted to know why I laughed and what he said. I didn't rat the other guy out, I simply said I was making light of the situation, and brought up that we had this discussion before, to PLEASE LEAVE THE POLITICS AND RELIGION TALK OUT OF THE OFFICE. My boss shrugged it off, agreed, and left for the day. The younger boss comes up to me, thanking me for saving his butt. I didn't let him off so easy because I let him have it, politely without overstepping my boundaries that his comment was uncalled for, and I don't want to think bad things of him, and that he put me in an awkward situation for a minute, and he's lucky I know how to recover. The younger boss I felt took back his appreciation but whatever. He knows what he said was immature and out of line and that shouldn't have happened.

I'm tired of getting in trouble for things I didn't do.
