That stinks that you won't have the extra money but I think even if you have to tone back the wedding it will be worth it the long run. I feel horrible for your nephew. I hope he doesn't have to keep changing schools.

Anyway you can move someone else in his place to help pay the mortgage/rent? Maybe another sibling or close family member?

Don't be annoyed...it may be a blessing in disguise. Even if you decide to let him come back for a while and he helps out financially, freeing up some of your money, plan as if it is just you and FH's money! It's ok to scale back a little now b/c you don't know where you'll be a year from now.

He lives with his mother full time so this time around it wont affect school... but i just feel so bad for him moving again in with another girlfriend/boyfriend poor kid is going to have the most screwed up perception on relationships

hey, that's unacceptable. I'm glad you told him that if he goes, he cant come back. Keeping his options open will always let him be a kid.

Thats the problem with families... you go on promises and not in writing like you would with a renter. I had a roommate who said he was moving out earlier then he 'promised' and so I then had to make all plans to move out early bc I couldn't afford it on my own. The silver lining? I moved in with FH and couldn't have been happier.
Stick with thinking about the silver lining and remember that apparently your bro makes really poor choices, but you're there for him because you have to be! :)
