Re: Bad bride
I agree-
I had an idea in my head and wanted a small simple wedding.
It has gotten much larger, and while it is still retaining some of what I wanted, I'm just not super excited about this big a wedding. I just didn't want it.
I am certainly excited to get married, but honestly, I'm not sold that my wedding day is going to be the most exciting day of my life

Oh I say that all the time! I'm so excited for the actual wedding and for us to share the day with all our family and friends but after 2 years of planning and booking appointments and making decisions - I just want that part to be done and the day to be here already!!! We're almost there though.... 56 days left

Re: Bad bride
Wedding planning lost most of its luster around the 3rd month of my 1 year only planning and the rest of its luster when the checks started being mailed out. I get excited of things here and there. But I give A LOT of credit to girls that plan more than a year. You girls are good

Re: Bad bride
Completely agree with you, and my answers are always, 'can't wait till it's over' or 'can't wait for the honeymoon.' I've said to my mother many times, I don't understand how people do this for a living.

Me too! I feel like people look at me weird when I say it too.
I can't relax until the ceremony is over after that... Smiles all around

Re: Bad bride
YES! I seriously can not wait until it is over and and I never have to think about planning anything like it ever again. I just feel like it has not been a fun process, mostly because its not the wedding I wanted originally. So excited I only have 4 more months of this crap!

Re: Bad bride
i know a few brides who do miss the planning after the wedding is over because they had been planning it for so long. i don't think i will be one of those brides and i don't think your a bad bride because you want your day to come already.

I feel like a bad bride. Whenever I am asked if I'm excited about the wedding my answer is something along the lines of 'I can't wait until it's over' or 'Yeh excited for it to be over'
I was/am excited to get married but I'm so over the planning and waiting that I honestly want to be done with it all. I feel like a party pooper lol. Anyone else just want it to be over so they can get back to their normal lives?
People keep saying I'm going to miss planning since it's consumed my life for the last year but I couldn't disagree more.
I'm with you. The stress is really getting to me. It's enough already....

Re: Bad bride
Thank you for posting this bc I seriously thought it was just me. I feel like I'm running a marathon and I'm not allowed to stop, lol. No matter how much I planned in the summer, all this last minute stuff is exhausting. I know it will all be worth it...but I can't wait to just sit on the couch and do nothing! 'Am I excited?? ... I don't have time to be excited! '

Re: Bad bride
i had friends that got married within 9 months because 'they just wanted to get it over with...' I'm sorry.. i don't agree. I think this should be the happiest time of your life and you should enjoy every second of being engaged and should be excited for what's to come.
Maybe you feel that way because you've been engaged for a while? But i have to disagree... i don't feel that way at all and am having so much fun planning this wedding!

I think it does make a difference how long you've been planning. I've been planning for over a year and I was so excited for a while. Now i'm over it.
