I would try to do it on the 12 month visit. 5 months is cutting it close. You CAN do it at 5 months, but you will be past the date for some designers and if for some reason you don't find anything, or one of your girls is delayed in ordering, you'll be stuck. I ordered mine in November and they came in last week for my June wedding. Don't forget that the girls will want them in a month before for alterations, so 5 months means you'll really be limited or might have to pay rush fees.

The place I'm ordering from won't let me order the dresses until 5 months before! I think it should be fine.

we ordered the girls dresses at the beginning of NOv for our May wedding (7 months in advance). The dresses actually arrived in Jan (less than 2 months after ordering).

it probably depends on where you go and what designer. davids bridal gets them in in two weeks haha

i think 5 months is perfect. my wedding is in august and it seems most stores are saying i need to order by the end of this month...which means 4 months in advance.
i def would make sure you order something then though

i think 5 months is okay. we ordered mine in the beginning of december, so 6 months ahead of time.

last year, we ordered my BM for my cousin's wedding on January 29th i think, and her wedding was june 5.

Most stores will tell you around 6 months for BM dresses.

5 months should be okay. 12 months might be a little early for your girls to get measured and order, a lot can happen in a year. But you could choose the dress and the store and start the process, and have them order on their own closer to 6 months. The store should call you if the dress is being discontinued so you can get your order in before that happens.

You'll be fine at 5 months. We ordered about 5 months out and it was all good.

it really depends on where you get them. I ordered my dress in the beginning of september and then came in the middle february. So it took 5 months and 1 week for my dresses to come in

You may just be limited in your choices to designers that can do it in 5 months.

I'm coming home for my roommates wedding this month, the dresses just came in this week I ordered right after Thanksgiving, so thats just around 4 months. Still enough time to get alterations :)

my cousin didn't order hers until november and the wedding is this weekend!

they came in pretty fast though - we got them end of january.
