Splurge and go for Bora Bora. I heard only amazing things about it. A friend of mine went for her honeymoon pictures looked amazing.

Re: September Honeymoon
If you're really set on the caribbean, the best option would be to go to Aruba! It's amazing there and below the hurricane belt, so there's nothing to worry about.
We decided to go to Europe for our HM partially to avoid the hurricanes but mostly because we knew this would be our one opportunity. We're still getting the beach for part of it, in Cannes. Your HM is definitely the time to splurge a little!

Re: September Honeymoon
We're going to the Maldives and staying in an overwater bungalow. The pricing is slightly better than Bora Bora, and we're staying at an all inclusive resort. I'm not going to lie, we're going for 10 nights and spending a lot of money, but I'm sure it will be worth it! How long are you looking to stay?

It depends, if we go further (Bora Bora, etc.) maybe a week. If we're closer and cheaper maybe a little longer. It all depends on pricing and if FH can get off work. We're thinking of possibly taking a mini-moon and then doing the carribean in February or something to avoid weather if it's really an issue.
Could you FM me your quote for Maldives? If it's all inclusive and an over-water bungalow (which is really what I want) I might be able to do some convinving lol.
Of course! Sending you a message now! :)

Re: September Honeymoon
I am also honeymooning at the end of September. I’m actually considering both Curacao and Aruba for my honeymoon. Im thinking of three days in Curacao and four in Aruba. It’s a very short inexpensive flight between the two islands and they both are located outside of the hurricane belt. Whats better than visiting two relaxing islands. Our other option is Costa Rica, which is also great for that time of year. The only downside of Costa Rica is that most of the beaches are very rocky and Im not sure how relaxing it will be. There are so many adventurous things to do (ziplining, rainforest, volcanos, etc.). Although its absolutely beautiful, I think I need to relax after all of this stressful planning

Re: September Honeymoon
I was worried about this myself. FH and I are going to St. Lucia, but we are waiting to go on our honeymoon in January, so we could avoid hurricane season. Instead, after the wedding we will do a mini-moon, and then have our big vacation to look forward to in January

I was not a September bride but I went to Aruba for my honeymoon in April (and we are going back in September for a wedding) and it is AMAZING and not effected by hurricanes!
