It's up to the bride really..the bridal party should respect the bride's decision on what her party should wear.

Yea I guess if the bride is okay with it then whatever. If my bridesmaid wanted to do that I wouldn't be down for it. I would hope my girls wanted to wear their dress all night so they stand out from the group.

And if the bride nicely asked her not to change so that the wedding pictures could reflect her being part of the wedding party and she got mad?

If she got mad, that's probably just her age. But she'll get over it. If the bride said no, then the answer is no. It's her wedding, not your prom. Get over it.

Personally, given her age, I am not at all surprised that she asked. I would tell her that you really want her to stand out as a bridesmaid especially because she is the grooms sister and it is important to HIM that she is recognized as someone who is so important. If it is going to become a problem, as it probably will be (because let's face it, these little things always become issues) I would just let her have her way. In the end, who cares? It is not worth an argument. You have much bigger and better things to care about. They are all going to be looking at you anyway!!!

If the bride is okay with it then go for it.... but I personally would be annoyed. If you don't want to wear the dress then you are telling me you don't want to be a part of the wedding.
