I would give the same amount. Friends of mine had a back yard reception and I know how much it ended up adding up to and it was comparable to a wedding in a traditional venue

I would give the same if they're close friends. What they gave you could be all they can afford. In most cases, it's the thought that counts. If they're not close friends, then maybe just do $150. It's still their wedding day and expenses can quickly add up regardless of the type of wedding.
