Re: Flowerfields in St. James

They are run by Lovin Oven and I have heard nothing but the best about the FOOD and SERVICES provided by Lovin Oven. I'm getting married at the Vanderbilt, also Lovin Oven run and I can tell you the staff there is fabulous. They are on top of things, professional and everything has been done with esquisite taste. I am pretty sure all on the site will agree.

GOOD LUCK!

Re: Flowerfields in St. James

I'm also getting married there, December of this year! I fell in love instantly...and I originally had my heart set on Oheka (until FI went there...he refused to be married there because he grew up only a few blocks from the place when it was still a military school, so he was always threatened to be sent there when he was bad)...I'm not saying Oheka is bad, it's gorgeous, but FLowefield was more 'us'.

however, don't spend all your budget on just the reception hall, because bands/djs, flowers can also get pretty expensive. If it's $$$$ you're worried about, there are a TON of other beautiful places, just keep your eyes open.

Re: Flowerfields in St. James

I too am getting married there this year and had my tasting last week.......it was awesome.

I opted for an 'off' season that is less expensive. They give you so much for the money that I booked it and cut corners in other places.

I fell in love instantly and the food is incredible. Its been worth not shopping and saving every dime for.

Re: Flowerfields in St. James

I got married there in May and the place is AMAZING. It's been 3 months and everyone is still buzzing about the place. My husband and I paid for the wedding and it was worth everypenny!

Here is my review ...

Flowerfield – 631-862-0100 - http://www.flowerfield.com - A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ - I don’t think I can explain how wonderful a day we had. A special thank you to Cynthia DeStefano, my banquet manager, Scott Kehlenbeck, my Maitre D and Joette Behrman, my Bridal Assistant. These 3 individuals made my wedding a spectacular event. They were with me from the moment the Rolls pulled in, until we pulled out at 1:30 am. I was truly a queen and I had the best day of my life!

We were expecting torrential rain that day and we were blessed with no rain. All my prayers were answered and not a drop of rain fell all day. The place looked wonderful, they just planted annuals the week before, the fountains were on as were the fireplaces. It was a cool 50 degrees! My bridal party and guests were blown away at the magnificence of Flowerfield. The cocktail hour started about 15 minutes earlier because the guests were arriving earlier than expected. All I can say is the food is AMAZING. The guests gorged themselves on the food from the cocktail hour that by the time the reception came everyone was stuffed. In fact the only complaint I had that day was that there was too much DELICIOUS food. We are still receiving phone calls from guests raving about the food. We ended the evening with the Viennese hour, which we did in place of the dessert cart. It was done impeccably and the guests were given tins to take home dessert ‘to go’. Loving Oven Brides you will not be disappointed!!

I had my wedding at Flowerfield, and it's been more than 2 years and people are STILL talking about it. It was a wonderful, wonderful, experience, dealing with Lovin' Ovens Caterers.
