You really have to go with what goes best with your complexion. Some skin tones look better with ivory than with stark white. I chose ivory b/c I have dark brown hair and I am very fair-skinned & felt like the ivory gave my skin a little bit of a warmer look and would not wash me out. The difference is subtle. You can't even tell my gown is not 'White' unless you hold it next to a white gown.

Oh, also about the tux question. If you do go with ivory then your FI should go with ivory. Whether that means it's an all-ivory tux or just the ivory tuxedo shirt underneath. We only looked at one place so far & that was the first thing the guy asked me was whether I was wearing ivory or white so then he pulled out an ivory shirt for FI to try on.

As far as white shirt and black pants - My father wore a white tux jacket & shirt with black tie and black pants back in 1962 & everytime I see my parent's album, I think he looks like a waiter! But that's just my opinion. I guess that is how they made the groom differ from the rest of the bp back then. They probably didn't have much choice with colored vests or anything like that 41 years ago!

What a beautiful dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I, too, have visited bridesave.com, and was wondering if it was truly safe to order a dress from the internet? Will the product come to you damaged?

Also, once the dress is ordered, do you know of a place to have it altered?

Bridesave.com seems like they have great deals, and if they are great, I wouldn't want to miss out.
