XP: Post office question

I don't know if anyone knows the answer but...

my dad is so sweet and bought 400 of the purple heart stamps a few months ago. This is when they were 41c.

My question is...can I return them to get stamps that are the exact cost of my 7x7 pocketfolds? I can't even use them for the RSVPs without buying the 1c stamps.

I don't know if you can do that, but it doesn't hurt to go to the post office to ask.

Sorry USPS does not accept any returns on stamps. I work for PO. If you don't keep them for yourself for bills etc or try selling on ebay.

That's what I was afraid of...oh well, looks like I will have multiple stamps on my invites! Thank you for responding!
