xpost BHB- Did you do a bride and groom speech?

So I was watching the sample of my video and realized we totally forgot to do a speech. Is this something that everyone is supposed to do? Did anyone not do one. My mom and his dad did one, as well as the maid of honor and best man...?

My husband did but a quick one to thank all the guest for being apart of our special day.

We didn't say anything at the wedding, but we (and by we, I mean I) gave a little informal speach at the RD.

We didn't. Never even thought about doing it - the night goes by so fast I didn't want anyone talking other than the MOH and Best Man.

We said a small speech thanking all of our friends and family and all out OOT guest for coming...DH said all the talking though, he also mentioned his late father too...it was something he really wanted to do

we did a quick thank you to all of our guests..i wanted to do it especially just in case we didnt get a chance to greet them personally..but i definitely don't think its a must.

i am soooo not doing a speech at the wedding! I'll be getting in all my thank yous when I go around from table to table. That should be enough. I'm severely uncomfortable with getting up in front of everybody. I'm probably going to read a little something at the RD though. Just something small to my Mom & Dad and then to the Bridal Party. If I'm not feeling comfortable with it, then I won't. But I hope to. I think that would be nice.

We went around to everyone at the cocktail hour and then again during the reception, and we were able to speak with everyone who came to our wedding that way. In my head all these months, I really wanted to at least say something to everyone during the reception, something like thank you for coming, thank you for being there for me and DH all these years, etc. but I completely forgot about it. My sisters (MOH) and his brother (BM) gave speeches that were just beautiful, and all 3 thanked everyone for being there. So in essence, they did it for us.
