We dropped off our final payment last night actually and asked about HD video. They told us that they do not use HD cameras unless you specifcally ask for one and its an additional $1,000 usually to start. In our contract it states they will use a 3CCD Camera, which isn't HD.

They said they rarely use it and even recommend against it because with it being mostly hand held, the quality actually comes out worse then regular definition. It's not a steady shot camera like they use for TV shows etc.

We asked about the sample video they showed us in the studio and they said it was not shot in HD, but obviosuly there's no way to know that for sure.

Keeping our fingers crossed that it comes out the way that it should come out...

Maybe it's just me, but I can never really tell the difference between HD and not. I mean when DH actually SHOWS me a channel not HD and then to HD and points out the sharpness difference THEN I notice it. I dunno - I didn't even ask them if the video was HD lol And there would be no way I would spend an extra $1k for it either!

P.S. Did I mention I need glasses and never wear them?

actually i have the same problem and dh thinks im a nut for not noticing the difference!!

but on my video, the colors look dull like its from 1980.
