OK, I went to an eye doc a few weeks ago b/c my lower lash lines were a little red. It was barely noticeable but it bothered me b/c I knew something was off. Turns out he said I had a little infection caused by allergies/hay fever. It wasn't contagious like pink eye. So he put me on this antibiotic eye gel (tobradex) for 10 days. I finish the antibiotic and lately my eyes have been getting sooooo red in the morning. People at work have noticed.. (it's not only something I notice). It slowly gets better throughout the day. It's weird b/c it's like tobradex made my eyes worse.

Does anyone experience this? I bought Visine Tears and have been using that and it does help. Today I bought flaxseed oil b/c I read that omega 3 fatty acids help with stimulating tears. I'm starting to take that but I doubt it will help right away. Oh, and I'm going to a different doctor this Wednesday. (I didn't care for the first one).

TIA

I suffer from dry eyes/ eye allergies as well. Stay away from visine! It has preservatives that often make the eyes more irritated than they were to begin with. To sooth your eyes I suggest thera tears preservative free eye drops or Refresh preservative free eye drops. They come in a single vials. Since they have no preservatives you can use them as many times as day as you need. They don't irritate the eyes at all because they are just like your own tears.
Hope that helped!

Yikes! I didn't know that! I'll not use it again tonight and see what happens.
