would you call someone and ask for a gift receipt for something you already have??
I'm getting mixed feelings on this...
It is FH aunt and cousin that we got an e-party gift from.
We didn't register yet so its not on our registry.
Thanks !!

Re: xpost.... gift reciept question
If it's family, I don't see the problem in asking

Some stores may take the return even if you don't have a gift receipt, as long as they carry that brand and style.

She is right. I always hate asking for receipts because it may hurt their feelings. You could look up the gift online and see which stores carry it. If Bed Bath Beyond has it, they make take it and let you get something else. If no luck returning it, ask them for it and just say you have something just like it or someone else got it for you.

Im not sure what store, but its on the BBB and Macys website. I would just hate to get the sale price if they paid full price for it.
