i'm having an issue right now because i think that my everyday dinnerware is expensive, so i feel bad asking for china on top of it! i just fell in love with these dishes and now nothing compares.

My everyday china was actually like $70 for a 16 pc. set, my formal china (which isn't very formal at all) was $40 a place setting. I didn't want to make our guests spend so much on dishes, besides I really like the china we chose!

every day dishes came in a set of 49.99 for 4 place settings... i registered for 2 of them...
and my fine china was $119.99 per setting, i think.... they are lenox, my mom got them from the lenox outlet for less

I decided not to do the 'traditional' place setting.....so I went with the lennox vibe pattern from BBB. service for 6 was $179.00. So i got service for 12 (2 boxes) and then all the accessories and flatware to match I will be using this as my formal dinnerware

Formal china is $114.99 each place setting.
Everyday china is Italian Countryside by Mikasa and is $199.99 for a 40 piece set I think (service for 8).

thanks so much girls. i wound up doing some more shopping last night after reading your responses and i think i found a cheaper everyday alternative at crate and barrel...going to check it out tonight!!
