XPost - Lovin' Oven girls! Menu question....

When FH and I went for our tasting - everything was fine - EXCEPT the filet. It was like 2 oz. and freaking SMALL. I was shocked at the size. It was horribly tiny.

What was your experience at your tasting? And again at your wedding?

We had a good size portion for both the tasting and the wedding.

Everyone is still talking about the amount and the quality of the food. Some of our guests even thought that the cocktail hour was the dinner.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I was glad to have had the tasting, 'cause I was so revved up during the wedding that I didn't eat much. Although our Maitre D brought me tons and tons of food.

We had a TON of food, with nice size portions at both the tasting and our wedding. I don't think the filet was an option for us (honestly don't remember). For our main course fish meal we had the crepe....I don't eat fish...but everyone that had it LOVED it...I think because it was something different. Most places have Salmon and some type of fish filet as an option.....trust me...you will have a TON of food at your wedding.....after our wedding.....they gave us sooo much food to take home.....My parents bathtub at the hotel had to be filled with ice to keep just some of the food they gave us to take back with us. The rest of it was in the hotel room's frigs........The portions of the food were just perfect too. I am sure if you wanted the filet and you raised that issue to them, they would work with you.
