What does a guy wear with his Tux to a black tie wedding? DH bought his tux for our wedding and wore a white vest/tie. Now we are going to a black tie wedding, what does he wear with the tux? A black vest and tie? Just the black tie? Bow tie and cumberbund? His dad has a black vest and tie to give him, is that ok? I am totally clueless about men's fashion.
What color are you wearing? He doesn't have to wear the tux, have him wear a suit.

Black tie means tux... black tie optional means he doesnt have to wear a tux but he can if he wants too..ie-fancy!

some people say a black tux or black suit is fine. We have a black tie wedding coming up in about 2 weeks. DH owns a tux but not sure if its going to fit hahaha. He also has a real nice black suit, and i told him to wear that but he said he thinks he has to rent a tux if the one he has doesn't fit. I asked him if he would notice the difference between a tux and a suit if he were at a party and he said no. I have a feeling he might still rent a tux lol
