I'm sorry sweetie, what was her excuse? FH even said if she has been your friend for over 16 years then she should have been there to support you during this time.

Sounds like she knows or realizes you have the right to be mad at her otherwise she wouldn't have texted you asking if you were mad at her. Being that its such a long time that you've known her I would wait till your thinking more clearly and can talk to her without the anger you're feeling right now. Personally I only want the people that would be there for me at anytime standing next to me so I get you wanting to ask her not to be in your bridal party. But 16+ years in a very long time and people do have things in life that they can't get out of even for a friends families death. I think you should give it a few days and meet her and talk face to face.

Sadly, my coworkers have already informed me that you will see ALL sides of people, esp those close to you. I am sorry that you are going through this.

That sucks. There's no excuse for not showing up. My grandmother passed away in the fall and I was blown away that friends I barely see showed up at the wake. At least you know what kind of person she is now. I'm sorry again for your loss.

I agree 100% You have every right to be mad. But give it a few days before making a final decision. I'm sorry you are dealing with all this right now.

You have all rights to mad at her. As a friend of 16+ years, she shoudl have been there for you (I'm so sorry for your loss, I missed a lot this past week being sick).

Give it a few days then talk to her with a calm head. Take your time to grieve, don't let her be a distraction.

I'm so sorry love, like everyone said, if she was your friend for that long, she should have been there. I would talk to her and let her know how upset you are and find out why she wasn't there.

I'm sorry that she put you through this. You have a right to be mad at her and she knows it. Did she apologize at all? Even if she did, I know it still hurts. We are here for you.
