Yankee Candles...for Favor??

Yankee Candles...for Favor??

What do you ladies think of Yankee Candles as a wedding favor? I am in love with Yankee Candles and was thinking about doing the small jars like all fall-ish colors/scents....when they are on sale...like right now, I can get them for about $3.60 each with tax...

If your answer is yes, do you think its cheesy to do ONE per couple? They ARE the small jars....but its YANKEE CANDLE! Personally, I would love the favor if that was my gift as a guest.

Let me know your input!
TIA!!!

I love the idea!!! I might steal it hehe. If it were me doing this favor, since they are the small ones I would do one per person.

I have yet to check out the Yankee Candle outlet to see how their prices are, in comparison to what I may be able to get from BBB with a coupon

I agree.. I really like the idea, but If I were doing it I would probably do one per person, not one per couple.

I think it's a great idea! Sooo many people love Yankee Candle! I would definitely do one per person though, since they are so small.

I love the idea.. definetly a good favor because it will be used, unlike most favors that just collect dust!

I am starting to think that two small jars per couple is the way to go but that's definately going to get pricey....
Anyone know how the outlet prices are?

Go to the Yankee Candles Outlet and you can get the bigger one for less than retail price. For a wedding, I would personally go with a bigger one. It looks better when you package them for favors. Or if you prefer the smaller one, I would pkg three mini candles.

I am starting to lean towards doing the medium size jar and doing one per couple but I am definately looking to spend $5 max ..I'll need to check out the outlet to see if $5 is even a realistic price (highly doubtful). With this economy, I wonder if they can do anything if we are purchasing say 70 candles....cant hurt to ask right?

I am not much of a negotiator..bargaineer...I'll have to bring FH!

i think that's a really cute idea! if you want to do one per couple, i would suggest going with the jar that is one size bigger than the smallest one.

Honestly, I think one per couple for most favors is really okay. This could be because I think favors are unnecessary to begin with. There will always be left overs, people will forget to take them home and not everyone will want two of the same thing (especially if you get only one scent). So I'd say get a decent sized jar and do one per couple.

I think one per couple is fine. But I haven´t seen the size of the small jar. We are doing Yankee Candles as well. My sister is doing them as part of her gift to us. We got votives. One white and one black and she´s 'dressing them up' like a bride and groom and gluing them together. We´ll prob be doing one set (of two votives) per placecard which is basically one per couple.

I think giving a Yankee candle is such a cute idea! Remember, you don't necessarily HAVE to give out favors. Although tradition, it is not mandatory. I think if it represents a part of you and your personality as well as FH then go ahead and do it. It is not cheesy, but I would def do one per person. The small Yankee candles are pretty small. Good luck and Congrats!

Awesome idea! They're having a sale this weekend; $15 for 3 small jars (3.7oz. burn time 25 - 40 hours)

But if you wait a little while, the seasonal scents eventually go on sale right after the holiday.
