Yankee game was FREEZING today!

FH and I were in our Saturday bleacher seats for our first Saturday game of the year, hanging with our bleacher buddies (we're all Saturday ticket package holders). It was SOOOO COLD and a misearable game through 6 innings, it was 7-3 so we left.

So FH and I get in the car and we hear Giambi got the game within one run...Mariano Rivera came in to preserve it...and then the zinger of all zingers- AROD WITH A WALK OFF GRAND SLAM!!!

COME ON, MAN! Why'd we have to miss that?!?! The most unlikely of players....talk about drama! That's the second time we missed a huge walk off grand slam because it was too cold- we missed the big Giambi grand slam at our very first game together in 2002.

Just had to vent!

OMG...I would have been soooo mad if i missed that but het @ least A-Rod did something and they won!!!

I know, it's a flippin' miracle. FH and I were listening to it in the car and I joked that they had to load to bases for AROD...I was totally kidding! I totally expect him to strike out looking in situations like that! And then it happens! he was having an awesome day though.

sorry you missed the ARod grand slam .. maybe next time bring a blanket

My Fh was at the game today with some of his friends and all he was wearing was a sweatshirt. So i said to him,,,ummmm arent you going to be cold?? He goes,,,it'll warm -up in the afternoon!!! Yeah,,,ok!!!!! He must've been freezing to death! That really stinks that you missed that though!!!

Sorry it was so cold and that you missed the ending, but the YANKEES WIN, YES THE YANKEES WIN...........................GIDDYUP.......WAHOOOOOOO.........

But you want to hear something funny? The first Yankee Game I ever went to was David Wells perfect game. And I was like, 'Baseball's not so bad...it's only like an hour long!' All the guys were like, 'You have NO idea what's going on!!!'

Dude, watching those replays I REALLY want to crawl into a hole and die.

And to think...I was at the game Giambi hit his walk off grand slam in the RAIN!!! Two out of THREE walk off grand slams in the history of Yankee Stadium(the other being the Babe's)- I was THERE but LEFT!!!

Don't feel so bad!! I left in the 7th inning too!!!!!!!

But.. IT WAS COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

whoa. that's craaaaaaaaaaaaaazy. I remember I had to drive from queens to my ex's place in NJ and nearly swerved into a guard rail on NJ Rt 3 listening to that home run call.

It was funny b/c the guys were so mad they used their ticket on me- when another one of their baseball buddies who actually would've cared about the perfect game could've gone instead!!
