yankee trade

Did anyone hear that the only way the Yanks can get Randy Johnson is by offering up Posada!!!!
I say that is a definate NO GO!

aside from that....i would hope they would never trade a guy that plays ALL THE TIME as opposed to a pitcher that plays every couple of games...

well that might happen because the Yankees don't have pitching to trade. I've heard the Diamonbacks want prospects and the Yankees just don't have them to give.

I wouldn't mind them trading Lofton for someone but other then him I think the rest of the players need to stay put.

Randy costs too much money...they can keep him! Do we even have a back up for Posada??

...but I agree that the trade, if Posada's an inevitable part of it, is a BAD idea!

Altough we desperately need another great pitcher, if we go into the post season...But i agree too much will be lost if we go for Johnson! Posada is not only an awesome catcher he is a great, reliable hitter as well!

After yesterday's loss I wouldn't be surprised if the Yankees make a trade for a relief pitcher and a starter within the next couple of days.

I would guess that Lofton and maybe one of our relief pitchers or starting pitchers would be involved in a trade.

Don't forget Posada needs translate as well to half our pitching staff. And he's a leader in the clubhouse. It just doesn't make sense to trade him.

The Yankees need starting pitching. The Mets need relief.

Imagine you combine the starting Mets staff of Leiter/Trax/Glavine with the Yanks bullpen of Rivera/Gordon/Quintrall. Now THATS a staff.

And Arizona isn't stupid. They are not going to let the Yanks rape them for Johnson.
