Yankey Candle as Centerpieces, what do you think?

Yankey Candle as Centerpieces, what do you think?

My FMIL showed me the Yankee Candle magazine, they had some great stuff. I saw candle holders, of 3 different sizes, making a set. They were tall, with a candle in there and beautiful potpourri, they looked really great.

I like this idea for my centerpieces, does anyone think this would work if I deviate from the norm of typical flowers.

Thanks.

Karen

I've seen candles as centerpieces before. You can still have a few flowers around the candles if you want- or even silks. I think it will look good. Have you seen the Wedding Day Scent? I can just imagine how great the room will smell with all those candles lit!

I am using Yankee Candles in my centerpieces. I am having flowers surrounded by vineyard candles.

I did get the Yankee Candle mag. and I loved the candle holders!! I think it would look great!!

i am planning on using candles as well for my centerpieces. i have to get that catalog! i was going to create a candle garden on a mirror with 3-4 differnt heights of candles and then spread rose petals on the mirrors. Should be alright, right?

I LOVE THAT IDEA!! I even have a picture--I don't know if this is what you had in mind-but this was @ a wedding we went to this past October and it was so beautiful! It was so different!

I absolutely LOVE candles as centerpieces but I urge you to reconsider using Yankee candles in particular. Both my best friend and husband literally can't be in a room where a Yankee Candle is burning...something about their scents make them gag. They are not related so Im guessing other people must have the same reaction.

Candles are a great idea but you can get less pungent ones that are a lot cheaper elsewhere.

I agree with Sonicstef. Not only does the smells irritate some people, it will also affect the taste of the food. JMO. While I do love candles at the table, I would consider something other than scented.

I love them but I would say DON'T USE THEM. Anyone I know with allergies can't be anywhere near them without getting really sick. I know they give me bad headaches after a while because they bother my sinuses. Maybe you could find some that are scentless. If they have no scent you won't bother your guests and they look the same

I love the idea of the candle centerpiece and have seen some displays at Yankee Candle that are beautiful!!!

Since scent can be an issue, what about using unscented candles from a different vendor?

I love the idea of using candles as a centerpiece but, being one of those people that gags especially with Vanilla candles, I'd go with unscented if you can.

I love the idea of incorporating candles into the centerpieces, I would also stay away from very strong scented candles.
