We are having an interfaith wedding and my FH knows nothing about Jewish traditions and I am the lost Christian girl...
What color yarmulkes are we supposed to buy? I really don't want them to be the same color as my BM dresses because I'm not into the whole 'matchy matchy' thing. Should they be ivory? black? or do they have to match the BM dresses?
help?

Re: yarmulkes
They can be any color you would like. My rabbi suggested white. but we are having a black and white themed wedding and i wanted most things to be black so i choose black. plus it looks less abrasive on peoples heads. you can have any color.

Re: yarmulkes
we got black suede. i was told by someone that satin ones might ruin photos because of the reflection with the flash but i dont' know how true that is

i wouldn't know, we forgot to do yarmulkes. but seriously, i would do whatever you want to do. if you're not into matchy matchy, then definitely don't do the color of the bm dresses. if you like them in black, do that. i don't think there's a right or wrong answer.

Re: yarmulkes
I did navy suede b/c it went with my general color scheme, otherwise I would have done black.
