Re: Yarmulkes

i have been hearing different things on when to order them...to be safe i am ordering mine in the next week or two!

I looked online and there are a bunch of sites, but reading some reviews a lot of these places take longer than they say they will take. So i decided to either order through Eichlers in Brooklyn or Zion Lion in New Hyde Park. I feel comfortable having a real person/storefront to work with even though that may sound crazy

Re: Yarmulkes

We JUST ordered ours through Eichler's.
We're doing Suede and they're $23 per dozen. I don't think they take very long, but a lot of these stores do close for holidays (for example our ketuah vendor just sent us a warning to get our final text in because they don;t work the last 2 weeks of April), so with Passover coming up, after that Shavuous, etc, I would order them soon. They don't go bad, so there's really no reason to wait too long.

I suggest buying one of these yarmulkes, it will be very unique and romantic:

not sure how true it is ... but i was told to get suede because satin might give off a reflection in pictures

I think suede looks nicer

Re: Yarmulkes

i personally think suede looks nicer, but satin is cheaper (and most of my guests are not jewish so they will be a waste). However bc of the possibility of the flash reflection that girls on here said is a possibility i am going with suede. or i may email my photographer to see if satin really is a problem or not...
