Yay.

Our office is moving out of this dungeon of a warehouse ugly dumpness, into an actual office building (The TriTech or Bank of Smithtown building, on Motor Parkway- anyone work there?). Anyway- We just got the seat assignments, and my cubicle has a WINDOW.
I am so excited, I can't even stand it.
Plus, I heard rumors that they were building a bar/ restaurant in the new building next to ours.
Sweet.

That building is frighteningly close to my home. I can see it. I pass it daily.

I've been in a windowless office the past two years and it really takes its toll.

After that place opened my Mom kept saying how there was a new place, we should go there, try it out. Etc.

Before I was going to go w/her, she got tipped off. She canceled.

That's bc that place was always a buffett, I remember for the longest time it was a Howard Johnson restaurant. My mom said the same thing, we should check it out, I was like 'um, Mom, there's a reason the windows are all blacked out'.

I know what building you're talking about, I'm right around the corner from you!!!!!!

I completely agree. At my last job, I worked in the basement and really felt like I was a prisoner. The world could have ended and I wouldn't have known it. Now I have a window and my own office and I am more productive.

Ok, well I do love my window.

I'm glad you realize how fortunate it is to have a window. The #@%$#& that I know with windows keep their blinds closed. Meanwhile, I can't see outside without walking 20 feet.

I'm nowhere near there but it sounds cool... Congrats!
