The boxes I got, I opened it to see what it was and we put it away. We dont want to use the stuff unless we are married. Its up to you though- if you need it, I would totally use it

I'm not having a traditional shower, (no gifts at mine -- we're calling it a 'ladies luncheon') so as soon as I get any gifts, I send thank yous right away.
If you know when your shower is and it's very soon, you can wait, but it's always nice to get thank yous done immediately. Then you don't feel guilty enjoying the present right away.
