YAY - DIY Memorial and Unity candles done!

These were sooooo easy. Bought cheap candles at Christmas Tree Shoppes, the base for both candles at Michael's and velum paper at Staples. Then just made my design in Word and printed them out. I had made my own logo months ago. So excited.

Wow, those are fantastic! I couldn't tell that you printed them and put them on... how does the velum paper work?

I think I need to find me a Christmas tree shop because I love what you made more than anything I've seen for purchase! (Unless you wanna make me some too?)
J/K - you're way too busy for that! But I'll totally steal your idea, if that's ok!

Thanks so much!! They were really easy!! You can buy vellum paper at Michaels by the sheet or packs at a paper store like Staples. Create a design in Word - put it in Landscape instead of Portrait - then I just fiddled around with things I'd like...for my Memorial candle for my Dad and brother I liked using the saying from John in the Bible because it means they live on. Very simple. And I found a cute Celtic cross in the default Word pictures. And for the Unity candle, I found a sweet quote that said 'Never above you. Never beneath you. Always beside you.' I then inserted our monogram I had made (with directions found on here). Print out to see how it looks and then put the vellum paper in the printer and printed on the vellum. Wait for the ink to dry (a few minutes) and then use double sided tape, put it on either end of the sheet of paper and tape it to the candle. Really inexpensive. Feel free to FM me if you have questions.
