Yay- Exactly 1 year to go!!!

I am exactly 1 year away!!! Woooohhooo!

Problems?? I still need a DOC!
FH doesn't think that a DOC is needed....could you ladies give me some good reasons to convince him. He really thinks that this is a princess-need not a real-necessity.

Any suggestions of really awesome DOCs?? TIA

We don't have a DOC. I think we will survive. lol

I recommend Michelle from Classic Event Designs.

My friend who recently got married did not have a DOC and she did her part to write down everything on mini note cards (flower shop number, limo company, etc) and handed them out to her bridesmaids so that if there was a problem, it could be handled by the BM who was in charge of that... My friend said it easily relieved stress for 1 person to be in charge of it and was a success.

There are plenty of books/sites out there that will help you organize it properly so I would say no DOC because it's an added cost that's not THAT necessary...but that's up to you.

I'm actually having that conversation (about DOC) right as I am typing this. Everyone says I can do it myself...I'm just worried that I won't be able to make sure everything gets done having multiple vendors; and odds and ends (putting the DIY stuff-favor table' memory table, etc. on proper display).

if you're unsure and you have a year to go, i don't know how often these DOC book or how far in advance, but i think it's safe to say you have some time.

I have some acquaintances who are not invited yet worked for the knot and i hate to say i'd use them but i would.. they are all snoopy in the planning process but i've been avoiding them because i dont want to feel awkward when they dont get an invite...

ultimately, it's your decision.. i'm a project manager in real life so i think i'd be able to plan in out and get the help of my BM too

YAY one year!!!

As for DOC....i'm probably not going to get one. I am going to have a big bridal party and they will all help out with that stuff. Plus most halls have bridal attendants who will help as well.

IMO, I rather spend that money on a cigar roller, or slippers, or something fun for everyone!

Congratulations!!!!!!!!
I decided to splurge and get a DOC, simpy because I didnt want to have to worry about anything on my wedding day, and I didnt want to invite people to my wedding to delegate them a responsibility. I want everyone in my BP to just enjoy the night and not have to worry about any responsibilites. FH gave me a hard time, but I told him that I am doing all this planning on my own so he has no idea what goes into it. It is your one day, if you want a DOc do it!
