Hi girls! I just found this website and I am in awe. I am the only one of my friends that is engaged and no one knows what I'm talking about when I talk about my adventures in wedding planning! Anyway, my fiancee and I have been searching vigorously for a hall for our wedding and we've narrowed it down to 4, westbury manor, jericho terrace, north ritz club and the harbor club. Can anyone offer some info? I know what we liked and disliked about all of them but have not been to parties at any of them. Maybe you guys can help with suggestions? Thanks!

Hi, Congratulations and Welcome!!! This site is awesome; I'm on it for like 3 hours a day (as are most of us) - get used to being addicted.
As for Reception Hall advice, there's a section called Bride's Review where tons of past brides review all the different vendors for their weddings, RHs included. So you can scroll through that and get some good insights. Also, if you hit the 'Search' button near the top of the page, you can put in the name of the place you're interested in, and find out more than you ever wanted to know about each of them. All 4 of the places you mentioned are REALLY popular with LIW brides. If you have a specific question about any one of them, ask it on the 'Brides Helping Brides' board, and you should get a lot of responses very quickly.

I just visited the NRC today and totally fell in love with the place! I'll be posting a 'review' about it once I transfer my pics.
I've heard lots of great things about WM and JT as well. You can't really go wrong! Good luck!

welcome! yay i know what you mean im the first out of my friends as well..so its nice to be able to relate with everyone on this site!! Jericho terrice is gorgeous..and the food is excellent. I've been to 2 weddings there and had a great time!

Congrats & welcome! Well, I myself am a JT Bride. I think the place is beautiful, the food is great, my BM is a doll, and the price is right.! I also visited NRC... Beautiful place, but I wanted an outside wedding ceremony and right above where we would have the ceremony was a huge electrical box. If your not having your ceremony there, I say the place is gorgeous. WM was also beautiful, but the timing was not accomodating for us to have a ceremony and the BM was real snooty! I have not been to the harbour Club. but heard it was nice. Well this is just one Gals opinion. Good Luck & Happy Planning.

Out of curiosity who was your BM for JT and WM? My FH and I really enjoyed JT, not only was it beautiful but the photo options are endless (inside and out) and we absolutely loved the BM. Out of all the places we've been to, he was the most accomodating. He saw that I had pink saphhires in my engagement ring and he offered to serve pink champagne to the guests! If we did book at JT a large percentage of our decision would definitely be because of him. And we would be having our ceremony at the same place we're having our reception, I didn't notice the large electrical box but thank you, I will take that in to consideration. I hope the hall is the hardest decision we have to make because this is really difficult!!

Thanks dava! I took a look and it's still hard b/c everyone loved all of the places I mentioned. Can't someone suck at making a wedding? That would make it so much easier to choose which reception hall I don't want!

Wow, I stood out there (NRC) for 20 minutes and never noticed the electrical box! Where exactly is it? Can't it be covered with flowers or something lol? I even took a few pics outside and I don't see the box in the pics... How huge is it?

My FSIL was married at NRC (ceremony and reception) and it was absolutely gorgeous!!!! There's even something VERY special there!!! I'll FM you, I don't want to ruin the surprise if anyone's going to a wedding there...

Welcome...this is a great site!!! I hear wonderful things about both JT and NRC. Alot of the girls on LIW are getting married at JT so i am sure they can offer you some great advice. FH's cousin is getting married at JT and they are sooo excited about it. I have also been to a wedding at NRC and the place is very pretty!!!! Good Luck
