now I have mixed feelings though because the veil was gorgeous.. is it ok to have ordered my dress elsewhere and go back for the veil?

definately ok!!! you can get your veil done ANYWHERE!!! If you can get a pic of it I heard sewdeb.com is great at copying veils (in case the macy's one is too expensive)

I didnt think to look, but it cant be that bad, it is one teir sheer fingertip with some crystlas along the rim and 2 designs near the side

I am going for an 'antique' look/theme for my entire wedding so I think it fits!

here are pics on a model.. I think why I always second guess it is the pics DO NOT do it justice and I feel like it looks like a tablecloth LOL, but it is gorgeous in person and Im so happy with my choice.

And regarding veils- my friend got married last year and she got hers at tri county flea market, it was gorgeous, they will make it any way you want it and for sooo much less than any of the stores! i remember when she was at macy's we looked at the veils and I almost fell down at the price!!!
