yay or nay for ring buying at Tri-County

thinking in terms of wedding bands for both of us. i've heard good and bad but never asked on here.

tell me why not or please recommend a jewler there.

If you can find someone who is reputable go for it but if not I would be careful. I bought a piece of jewelry a few years ago and found out the diamonds on the side of the ring was fake, TG the ring was not super expensive.

I love my wedding band! I got it at Gabriel Jewelers in Tri-County. They were recommended to me by friends of ours. They get all of their jewelry there. We got a great deal and fantastic service. We ordered the rings a week ago Sunday and I got a call they were in the following Thursday. Tell them your budget and they will work with it.

Here's a picture (sorry it's not very good - I took it with my blackberry) of mine. I promise to post a better one once I pick it up (hopefully this weekend).

It's 1 carats of princess cut diamonds.

fh has bought 2 diamond rings and diamond heart pendant for me in the past from tri county. they were all from diff vendorsi but never had a problem with anything. ill try and look up the names of the vendors if you want.

I got both my band and FH's at Tri-County. We worked with Jodi at Craft Jewelry. I absolutey LOVE my band. My e-ring is an emerald cut with baguettes, so not very easy to match, but she had the most gorgeous, perfect band and I bought it on the spot. It came in early, and I love it!

FH got me my engagement ring from Gold Alchemy in Tri-County. I have gotten so many compliments on it, its unbelievable. Once its on your finger, no one's gonna know its from a flea market, and a lot of those vendors operate retail stores as well

I am getting our wedding bands at ELSA b.c I wanted it to be custom made - but we looked at Tri-County first and they have some really great jewelry.

I've known people that have had awesome luck finding stuff there. I never have...but back when Busy bee was open in Massapequa a million years ago, I got a lot of jewelry there that was great quality

Ultra Diamonds in Tanger Deer Park is going out of business and everything is SOOO cheap. I would just feel a little safer and more secure going to an authorized retailer.

hey girlie,

def go to Mark from Turkan. hes been our family jeweler forever.. My FH and my bro bought their diamonds from him but not the setting cause our setting was only sold at certain retailers. But I get compliments all the time on my diamond so i would def suggest goin to him. hes reasonable and will give u a good deal. his diamonds and bands are beautiful.. he can also make it up for you.. good luck!!:)

From my experience I think Gabriel is the place to go to. Their customer service is excellent and they work with you on price depending on your budget. Their rings (and jewelry in general) are amazingly beautiful! We are getting our wedding bands custom made from there and it has been a really great experience! I have absolutely no complaints at all! I hope this helped.... :)

I've been married since Oct. 07 and purchased my rings from Gabriel and love their service. My family has been buying from them for a long time. So i felt comfortable with them. They worked with our budget. I love them so much i've gone back to get additional rings to stack with my set. I constantly get comments on how unique and beautiful my rings are. The picture says it all.
