YAY! WE BOOKED North Ritz Club!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am SO excited! We loved NRC when we first saw it (it was the first hall we went to), but the price and minimum were too high for a saturday evening. We said to each other as we left that if we came back and she could lower the price OR minimum we would have booked it on the spot! But we loved it so much, so we were thinking of having the wedding on a sunday so we could afford it.
This weekend my whole family's off and we thought it might be decorated for christmas so I wanted to bring them to see the place. It wasn't decorated yet, but my family LOVED it. They absolutely loved it as much as me and Fh did. They loved the big cocktail hour room, and how big and open and well laid out the ballroom is. They loved the mahognay everywhere and said the place was very elegant. A big sell of course was that it's one affair at a time. The BM went over everything with my family as she had gone over it with me and FH and my parents really loved it too. I tried to talk her down in the price or minimum, and she said we could guarantee less, but the price would be more...in the end, she lowered the guarantee AND the price, and we were SO excited that we booked on the spot, and my parents left the deposit and told us they would try to help us with the wedding!!!!!!!!!!!! I am SO excited! I couldn't believe it. Don't give up on a place you love b/c it seems to expensive, they really do want to work with you, and their first offer is never the best. They were able to lower the minimum and price just enough so that it would fit within our budget even with a full viennese, an extra cocktail hour seafood station and a pasta course. Don't give up on your dream, ladies and gentlemen, you never know! And bring people with you, that seemed to help. My brother in law is a lawyer, and he knew how to ask the right questions! I am SO EXCITED! The planning has really begun. Thanks for everything ladies! I would NEVER have even KNOWN about NRC if not for this site!!!!![]()
