YAY we picked bridesmaids dresses

Ok went today to RK bridal to get BM dresses...my MOH ended up getting one a bit different but they are VERY similar, at first all the girls liked one dress and MOH liked the other so i was like your the MOH why are we even discussing this just get the one you like hahaha...I LOVE the dresses. The only thing i feel so horrible about is that my cousin who is bigger i can tell wasn't too comfortable with the choice i asked her a couple of times and she said well i prefer the brown one(another one we tried) but if everybody likes this one im not gonna expect everybody to change it bc of me. I think shes worried bc of the fact that the one BM who tried it on, tried on a size that was even a size smaller for her so on her it was skin tight so she probably so my friend who was thinner and seeing even on her it was skintight. I saw the pic of the dress on the site so i know its not that tight...She did feel better when i told her it comes with a sash, the sash was missing at the store...I just really don't want her to feel uncomfortable

here is the MOH dress but it will be in caramel

now with the BM dresses, the first pic is how it fits and the second pic is how the top is to this dress but this dress also has straps...this dress will be in frappuccino with chocolate brown sash

beautiful dresses!! i say, as long a your MOH is in a dress that's X color and the BMs are in a dress that's Y color, it's OK to have the bigger girls in a different dress. your MOH will still stand out, and your BMs will all be comfortable. i also like it in pics when everyone has their own look (JMO). either way, i'm sure everyone will look gorgeous in their dresses!!

congrats on yet another big item crossed off the 'to do' list!

I feel bad about your cousin... maybe you can find it in anoher store in a larger size so that she can also try it on. I'm sure it's going to look beautiful on her though!

well the lady at the store said that the designer of the dress they only send the samples in those sizes so who knows...i just spoke to her now again and told her to remember that the girl tried it in a smaller size so its not going to be skin tight like that, plus she said she feels better that there's a sash...She did start a diet recently and last time she had lost weight but put it on back again the past few months so we'll see.

I'm sure she'll look great in it, I don't think she has anything to worry about.. plus she'll get it altered to be comfortable for her.

Congrats again though, the dresses are amazing and the color choice is very elegant!! The MOH dress is different yet very similar.. it will all look great together!

Yeah luckily i said from the beginning i wanted taupe or frappuccino and the tie fh wants its mostly a taupe color, he gave me the tie bc he already bought it, to bring with me so i was walking around the store with the tie around my neck the whole time hahahaha

Hmmm... yes, in that case you are right.... I'm sure once it's in her size and she's ready for the big day- it will look great!! 4 months to go..................... (well, almost lol I'm pushing it by a few hours lol)

I read all the other posts, thank you so much ladies. Maybe ill call places to see if they have this dress in a bigger sample but if not ill just show her the pic online.

love the dresses! They're beautiful. Don't be upset about your cousin, when the dress comes in in her size she'll feel much more comfortable

Lol... the people must have been confused since usually the guys match the color to the girls and not the other way around... you must have looked very sophisticated with that tie around your neck !!

well when he brought the tie over last night i actually said OMG thank you this is perfect bc this is the EXACT color i want for the dresses and now i can go in there and show them what color i want. But yeah even my friends at first were like what are you doing with a tie around your neck hahaha

thank you so very much for all your help i appreciate it...also want to add that the dress is dutchess satin so its not one of those clingy materials and that shows every little bump, so this fabric is actually good for her

Very nice, I love those colors! Its very hard to pick something everyone is comfortable with. I had a similiar situation, FH's sisters wanted long gowns, and the rest of the 5 BM's & MOH wants to do short. I've heard enough from FMIL about her daughters not feeling comfortable w/their legs showing .... Anyway it just so happens I'd prefer long dresses for pictures so I ended up all doing the long dress for everyone. They will wear whatever you choose, its your day after all, honestly you have to look at that way b/c you can never please everyone in this type of situation.

yeah it is hard to please everyone...i basically picked out about 10 dresses and let them pick from those. So it was basically majority rules when it came to it. I know she wants to lose weight and she started this cleansing diet and im gonna tell her to come work out with me too and help her to lose the weight, not for the wedding but for her in general.

Dutchess satin is such a rich fabric, and you're right, it doesn't show every little bump. I'm sure it'll be perfect!
