I booked with Crest Hollow in March 2009 for my April 10 wedding. At the time they told me this was a new rule and that they had bad experiences with some outside florists so they told me I had to use either:
Pedestals Flowers by Brian Jack and R O S E Spitz and Peck Fleurs de Florissima
Before I started looking at florists, I called up CHCC to ask if they added any florists to the 'approved list' and they said no. If you booked before a certain time, you are grandfathered in and can use any florist.

i was never told this!! Since I was never told this, I will be darned if im not going to use who I want!! It says nothing on my contract about florists!

I just looked at my contract. On the left hand side under 'decoration' it says 'only house florist to be used for floral decoration.'
Maybe they changed the rule back to allow anyone.. Check your contract.. But they should have told you too.. they can't just sneak it in there.

thats crazy... but at least you got florists that are well known and reputable

no, im scared my mom is the one whos just not seeing it because i ASKED her specifically to check for any rules about outside vendors!!! I dont even know WHY she has the contract cuz WE are paying for it!!! But, what are they gonna do if i use one?? Kill me??! lolll my flower guy says he does CHCC on the reg... and i actually believe him because he knows exactly how my room looks and little rules they have etc... so confused lol

CHCC would most likely let you use Burtons.. Even if the rule is supposed to apply to you. Don't worry about it. It would be more of a headache for them to tell a bride NO. LOL

so my mom finally found on the contract where it says 'only house florist to be used on premisis for all decorations'
to me, this means that the house florist decorates the cake and room etc.... even my florist told me that CHCC does all decorations and they just provide flowers... If it has to do with outside VENDORS then u know what!?!? That is unclear and misleading and I will become a BRIDEZILLA on CHCC lol cuz no one eeverr mentioned that to me... even when giving me the list of vendors he said these are just suggested you dont HAVE to go with them.
