YAYYYY!!!!!!
Initially, I went to my family jeweler in search of wedding bands. He designed by engagement ring and we have been going to him for about 12 years now.
because of the complicated mounting of my ring, he has to think about the design and price and will get back to me.
Fast forward to 2 days ago, I get a call from him telling me it will cost $2800!!!![]()
There is no way that this band can cost that much. I am no jeweler but the human eye and a little bit of plain old common sense will tell you that at most it should be 1600-1900.
I was so upset at him and at the price because the wedding bands are wedding gifts from my parents and we splurged with FHs ring at Cartier and I wanted to keep mine at a minimum.
At lunch yesterday, I walked over to Michael C Fina on 5th ave and i found my dream ring!!!! It was just a tad bit different from my engagement ring and exactly what I wanted. I couldnt have pictured a better ring, i was jumping! ..and it was $1900---still alot but anything is better than $2800!!!!
