I'm not sure if this is the right topic to post under but my daughter was taking Yasmin and was doing fine. Her gyn was giving her samples. She couldn't get Yasmin samples anymore so she switched her to Yaz. My daughter didn't have prescription coverage for a few months, so that's why she was given them. Anyway, Since she's been on Yaz, she feels like she's been very on edge, moody, emotional, etc. The fact that the wedding is coming up can be adding to it also, but has anyone else taken Yaz and had reactions like this? She now has coverage and will be going back to Yasmin. Thanks.

Re: Yaz birth control
I used to be on yasmin and that made me extremely emotional- i havn't tried yaz to compare. Maybe her body is just adjusting to the new medicine?

Re: Yaz birth control
Yaz has given me the least problems. Although, all BC's make me moody.

Re: Yaz birth control
I take it and havent had any problems. I even pay full price for it bc it leaves me with no bloating, no cramps and a very short period. but differnt bodies will take to the meds differently.

Re: Yaz birth control
I did take it and I wanted off in 3 months...I too felt very emotional, moody, and had NO sex drive while on it... but good thing she is able to get the birth control that works best for her body now!!!

Re: Yaz birth control
Yaz is known as a treatment for PMDD...which is PMS x 100. Shouldn't it allevate these problems instead of making them worse?

Re: Yaz birth control
Everyone reacts differently to different BCPs, all my friends and I are on different ones and we all swear by them. I switched from yasmin to yaz and I love it and would never switch to anything else. i think it helps my mood. But I would keep trying until you find the one that's right for you.

Re: Yaz birth control
my best man's wife was on yaz and she reacted very badly to it! She's turned off of birth control now because of it, she was really moody and got sick often also...tell her to switch to ortho tri-cyclen lo...I was on that for two years and I had no symptoms...HTH
