Ahh..... I'm just throwing this together, so, it may not be as great, since I didn't have the time to really think about it.
Dear Yelley:
So, let me get this straight. How much better are the Yankees than the Mets, when they haven't made it past the first round in the last 3 years? The Mets made it past the first round last year, so, does that negate this year?
And, without your precious A-Rod, you never would have made the post season in the first place. How will you guys be without him?
Now -- let's not get all bitter, and say that the Mets 'suck' -- they had a horrible September, yes, but, lets consider percentages. What percent of this season were the Mets in first place? I'm going to go with 98-99%, because they lost first place the day before the last day of the season. When did the Yankees see first place this season? Oh, wait, that's right, they DIDN'T.
So, while the Mets are certainly not as 'great' a team as the Yankees, they far from 'suck'.
Good luck next season, without Torre, A-Rod, and whomever else follows Torre out of the Bronx. And, even if they both stay -- I think it's fair to say, that, much like the TV show of the past, the 'Dynasty' is over.

While you make some excellent points, my point is that I NEVER go and say anything about the Mets until someone attacks the Yankees. That is because I am a fan of baseball and I happen to like the Yankees and don't really like to get into the 'who is better than who' fights. When the Mets didn't make post season, I didn't come on here and put up a sign that says, 'The devil loves the Mets' because I know it is heartwrenching to watch a team you love not do the best they can.
This isn't about statistics or who is better than who. This is just a note to say that it makes me sad when people dog other peoples teams. I am not going to root for Boston now b/c the Yanks are out... it's over for me. No more Ynks, no more baseball.

I was going to use A-Rod - but, he's all married, and being daddyish. I opted for the single, Jeter.
(Plus, we all know Jeter is clutch in important situations, A-Rod might not be able to get it up, he folds under pressure.)
