We're painting our apartment in the next couple of weeks, and I'm having trouble deciding on the color. We want to do the living room yellow, but FMIL is making me crazy worrying that it will come out much darker or brighter than the sample. Anyone have any thoughts -- or better yet, pictures -- of Benjamin Moore yellows? I'm thinking of a light yellow (the samples I like are lemon ice, and a little darker: lemonade, light yellow and you are my sunshine). Or even any other yellows (just getting ideas). We'll have a decent amount of natural light coming in (facing northwest). Thanks!

Re: Yellow paint
I used squish squash by BM in my bathroom in the basement - I LOVED IT.... Here are some pics...
I think from seeing some of these, that maybe a warmer yellow will give me the look I'm going for, rather than something light.

Re: Yellow paint
We found that Yellow was alittle deceiving compared to the swatches! We returned 2 gallons before getting the right one! We used Provincal Creme (I think thats the name ) by BM
i don't have a pic right now but we used dessert tan in our kitchen. it is warm yellow/tan.

Re: Yellow paint
Have you looked at the color sample things you can buy from BM (just a small jar of certain colors)? Then you could maybe try actually painting that on the wall and see how it looks there. We bought one when we were deciding on a color for our bedroom(unfortunately we ended up buying the full can b/f using the sample so it was really stupid, but if done the right way, I'm sure it's much more useful )

I don't have any pics, but we used Ambiance by BM in one of our bedrooms, and I love it. It's like a creamy butter color.

That's actually one of the colors I am considering, so thanks for the pics! It's called Provence Creme. Someone else had mentioned getting the small BM sample pots -- we are doing that, but I wanted to narrow the choices down before buying a bunch!

Re: Yellow paint
restoration hardware actually has some really nice paint. i used silver sage in my kitchen-but the yellow colors (butter and butter cream) are very pretty. nice that they have coordinating drapes and such too.
