For those of you that don't know the story, my cousin, who was my age (28), died of leukemia in August, leaving behind a husband & 3 very little boys.
Her story...
www.annmarievitale.com

Well, Johnny- her husband, my aunt Janet & Uncle Ray got a knock on the door today by Ty Pennington from abc's Extreme Makeover Home Edition...
THEY WON an EXTREME HOME MAKEOVER!!!!!!!!!!

I am shaking & still in shock!!!
Through this horrible tragedy, comes something good.

PS- I've known about this for a while now, but couldn't say a word. I was dying to tell all of you!!!!!

ETA- On Friday, I'll be having an 'Extreme Massage Team' at the site & massaging all the hard workers!!!!
(Hope Ty wants one)

RUMOR:
I just heard that they will not be tearing down the entire house and that instead, the will tear off the roof & build around the house.
Remember, this is a RUMOR. Who knows what they will really do.

Usually that is done to help with the tax situation... if they tore the entire house down and started from scrtch the taxes would be a lot higher... if you keep an original wall, the taxes will be considerably lower...

I read this and thought 'why would Alexandria be doing the work?' I'm guessing allure is a well known contractor on LI!

My friend just told me her husband is volunteering.
I remember you telling us when your cousin passed away. I hope this will bring some happiness to your family and her husband & children. I am looking forward to seeing this episode.
