Sending out engagement party invites. My gut tells me not to put in a little card where we are registered, that's reserved for shower only? Correct? Help!

If you're 100% sure you're gonna have a shower, I would urge you not to include your registry information with your e-party invite...you should only include that information for either the shower OR the engagement party...you don't want your guests to think you're being greedy...

i did this on our save the dates....
not having eparty, but i wouldnt blatently put where you registered on your engagement invite.... send the registry card with your wedding invite or do the website thing so its a round about way of getting people the information....

Re: Yes or no?
We did not put the little cards in our e party invites. We just sent them out with where and when. We did however register for a few things because we wanted people to have an option. So if someone asked we told them. My Mom also told people when they asked that we preferred cash with not having a place for another year and a half blah blah blah, but if they preferred to buy a gift we were registered at x. I know some people go by the rule that an engagement party is a place for gifts, not money. So I wanted people to have the choice

Re: Yes or no?
Thanks girls! I think I am going ahead and just sending eparty invites! Usually, I just search for a registery before I go to an eparty even without the little card! Great advice from everyone!
I would say NO! I don't think you are suppose to expect gifts for the e-party.

Re: Yes or no?
No you can totally do that - - -I have many friends that placed their info for the engagement party. Remember, some people like to give a gift and not a check

Re: Yes or no?
actually NO!!! that is a big rule, you are never to put registry info when sending out invites...showers are ok bc someone is throwing it for you so its not you asking for the gifts.
