It is much too young for an MOB dress, imho. Agree too that the spaghetti straps make it informal too.

like the other girls said...it doesn't seem special enough...mom's need to have some of that 'WOW' factor (the bride needs majority of it though haha)

I'm sorry to say I voted no. The color and cut ((IMO )) do no justice to the classic elegance of most MOB dresses.

The color isn't bad but the dress itself is definitely a dress for a more younger looking person. If the MOB is young looking and can pull this off, then go ahead. But I'm thinking most MOBs look more like moms rather than 20 something year olds, haha.

I think it's a little bright for an mob dress....

In a darker color it would be fine.

Depends on your mom too...what is her style like, what kind of figure she has, etc.

I voted no because I think it's too BMish and a little too 'young' looking for a MOB....not that she has to wear 'old lady' garb, but I think it's more appropriate for her to go for more elegant JMO

thanks girls. I feel bad. My mom picked this gown out, but it's just not what I pictured her in for my wedding. I think this dress is pretty, but there is no WOW to it. There's nothing special about it. I want her to look and feel like it's her day too because it is. I tried looking on the net for other pics, but here is the best I can do. The first gown is what she wore to my sisters wedding and she looked fabulous. She got sooooooooo many compliments!!! The others are just what I think she'd look amazing in....

those were almost my BM dresses......honestly i dont like it as a MOB dress but if you mom is very modern and young looking and young at heart then go for it....i was very surprised when i came on LIW at how sexy some of the MOB dresses are! i could never see my mom wearing some of them...nor would i want to lol

but if you both like it then go for it
