Have any of you had a shower guest who attended that replied no to the wedding?
I just got back my friend's rsvp and was kinda surprised she won't be with us on the big day.

Re: Yes to shower, No to wedding?
Yes, about a couple of weeks ago. But the wedding is in the Dominican Republic, so I suppose it's an extenuating circumstance ...

Yes, DH's boss came to the shower but couldn't make the wedding. It was understandable though since it was graduation season and we had other NO's due to that same reason.

Re: Yes to shower, No to wedding?
Yes, several... like FH's Aunt because its to late at night for her to drive back to NJ (she can't drive at night) and she is uncomfortable staying in a hotel. But for the shower it was in the day time.
I went to a shower once and not a wedding because I had two weddings on the same day. My BM is going to her friends shower but not the wedding because its the same day as mine.
FH's friend went to his bachelor party even though he has a conflict on the wedding date.

I've had to do that twice in my life. I was unable to make the wedding but went to the shower.

Yes I have about 6 women who did that to me... and Im VERY upset and disapointed because they all sat there saying oo cant wait to see you on the big day! Your going to be such a beautiful bride... and then BAM a NO on the RSVP... =/

Re: Yes to shower, No to wedding?
Thanks, everyone. It's just weird because I just saw her 2 weeks ago at the shower and she never said anything about not coming so today I was a little
At least she rsvp'ed. That, in itself, seems to be such a huge effort these days.

yes.... we had a couple like that... its esp hard in the summer when people go on vacation and such... we didnt send out std's so no one really knew the date in advance
